Jeff and Holly Emery tune to an unbeatable string of mid 20’s for the victory at the Midwest Jr Super Series Halloween Haunting at I-57 Dragway. From the #1 spot with a 4.255, the Shannon Beimfohr driven, Brad Holzhauer owned 08 Halfscale was the car to beat all day. With bracket car consistency, 1st round’s 4.246, got everyone’s attention. 2nd round 4.263, 3rd round 4.264 and in the Final 4.265 over Chitty 4.276. Beimfohr had the advantage from the start and never looked back. Beimfohr’s second win in the past 3 weeks with the Emery tuners. Thanks Holly, Jeff and Brad

"Not trying to start anything here but when ever the holzhauer car went down the track, it smelled different." quote from Montihall
It is my opinion that AFTER the race is over is not the time to bring this subject up on a public forum. There is a definite PROTEST procedure that should be followed AT THE TRACK, DURING THE EVENT. If you are participating in the event and think there is something fishy going on, you should file a protest at THAT time, and not after the race is run. IMHO this is the type of thing that is adding fuel to the fire & contributing to the dilution of Outlaw fields at junior races. If you had a dog in the hunt and did not say anything, then it is my opinion that you felt that everything was okay. If you did not have a car entered, then why worry about it, you didn't get beat.
I have been hearing all kinds of stories over the past several months about some potential problems with the class. I made it a point to watch the cars come off the scales, go to the line to fire-up, and stood behind them while staging. I was not given any reason to suspect foul play. The ONE thing that I would like to see standardized at ALL Outlaw races is to weigh the cars and do a fuel check as they come off the track instead of before they run. At the race in May at Holt, Florida, the cars were weighed as they came off the track and no parents or crew were allowed to go past a cone at the scales until their car had been cleared. This eliminated the "heavy helmet" talk, the 10# sock idea, etc., etc. Checking for questionable fuel is as simple as siphoning it out and mixing it with distilled water. End of story!
This is a tough class, folks. We have been racing Outlaw for 6 years and we have qualified everywhere from #1 to sitting on the sidelines without a car in the field. We have "found the setup" some days and some days we just didn't have it. My drivers have probably won more rounds for me on ability than I have for them with the right car. That is the nature of pure, heads-up racing. It's a tough pill to swallow, but I have had to "get over it" more than once...
It is my opinion that the Midwest Junior Series race at Benton, Illinois, was one of the best managed races that we have attended this racing season. The promoter and track provided a fun time for all. The little ones got to trick-or-treat the trailers, parents got to run down the track in their kid's cars, everyone had a hayride to go on, plenty of on-track racing with huge trophies, and a well prepared racing surface. We are definitely going to pencil this one in for next year, even if it is 1,000 miles from home!!

End of story! this should eliminate all questions, or suspicions AND how all 330 race's should be ran imo. If their is no efficent way of checking fuel its as simple as blowing out the lines and emptying the fuel bowl. Enough Said.

The position you stated above is my position, too.
