Just curious if anyone has a list of races left for the season say in October through December? I know about the Halloween race at Pine Valley, but what others might there be to finish out the year? Is there to be a Thanksgiving race at Pine Valley too? Hate to see the season ending so soon eco Thanks.

I see where there is an IHRA Iron Man race at Abilene on Oct. 10-12 that was moved from this past weekend. Also this weekend at San Antonio is an Iron Man race.
Does IHRA award "gold cards" like NHRA at an event like this? Thanks.

IHRA awards gold cards to those who win their divisional series points.

NHRA D4 used to have a series, but it was scrapped several years ago for the single E.T. Finals event.

Other than Abilene and Lufkin, we aren't aware of any other races either.

Angleton Dragway is having a big money race, it was supposed to be a couple of weeks ago, but Ike messed that up. Check there website www.angletonraceway.com or www.bracketrash.com for more details.

Angleton had to cancell the Jr. race, The hurricane set the schedule back to far and Angleton had a bunch of repairs to do. ( they are only about 5 or so miles from the coast)

Houston Raceway Park is having a two day bracket race with big cars too this weekend, Nov. 15-16. It is broken down into age groups 8-12 and 13-17 with $600 to win in the 8-12 age group and $800 to win in the older group each day based on 25 car min. I believe.
We're bringing a few cars from the DFW area. See ya'll there.

Thank you guys and gals for coming down to race with us at HRP. It was fun and maybe next year we can get a few more to come and get the car count up a little. This was the first year running the Jr.'s with the big cars at the Bash, so we had a few minor glitches, and I am sore from running from the Jr.'s to my big car, but I had fun. Hope everyone made it home safe. Thomas Iven.

Thank you guys. We had a great time down there...except for that brutal head wind Saturday! Glad Veronica was ok, hate to see that kind of thing happen, especially when my girl is in the other lane. We'll definitely come back next year.
