Me and my teammate we both have 3.5 rhino's I run 7.50's and he run's 7.90's and we go thru the water box, do a burnout, then one or two dry hops depending on the temp of the motor, sometimes we dont even do a second one because of the temp.. Doesnt hurt the motor and our motors are VERY consistant.. this past weekend I only took 7.99 or 8.00 off the dial once [with restrictor and weight]

I just bought a 12.90 for my youngest, I know he cant wait to do a burnout just like dad does..I told him not to worry about trying to do a burnout with that engine and worry more about getting the car to run properly and consistant...After watching the Jr's run..I think the kids enjoy doing a burnout so it makes them look like a Pro...nothing wrong with that either....but i have to agree with sarver boat racing, Mind Games With Kids, come on people...let the kids enjoy the sport...When i line up with my Super Pro car, I hate it when the guy in the other lane plays games like that also, Im sure he/she can see my temperature guage and wait untill they see me flick on the fan switch so they now know im starting to get hot before they line up.
